Dear Cardinal Community,
Thank you to everyone who submitted their proof of vaccination by the deadline of this past Tuesday, September 14. The campus community made significant strides over the past few weeks in increasing the College’s overall COVID-19 vaccination rate. The College is in the process of notifying the 10 students who were selected through a random drawing to receive a $2,000 scholarship each for their compliance with the College’s vaccine expectation.
To date, 77% of students, 92% of faculty (full-time and part-time), and 90% of staff have submitted proof of full vaccination. There are 37 additional students who have received their first dose but have yet to receive their second.
The College is following up with 241 students and 10 faculty members who have not yet submitted a vaccination record or requested an exemption. All staff members are currently compliant. As has been communicated, individuals who do not comply with the College’s vaccine expectation, or who do not receive an approved exemption and participate in ongoing COVID-19 testing, will be subject to disciplinary action and/or denied access to campus facilities.
While the College’s deadline has passed, getting vaccinated can still make a difference in protecting yourself and those around you. We encourage anyone who has not yet been vaccinated to do so as soon as possible and to provide proof of vaccination to the College. The vaccines continue to be highly effective in preventing the spread and severity of COVID-19.
