Dear Cardinal Community,
Governor Pritzker announced yesterday new vaccination and mask requirements, which apply to all Illinois college and university students, faculty and staff.
The new requirements include the following:
- All higher education personnel (faculty and staff) and students—along with healthcare workers, and Pre-K – K-12 teachers, staff, and volunteers—are required to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
- Effective Monday, August 30, 2021, everyone over the age of two is required to wear a mask in all indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.
The College’s existing health and safety policies—including the indoor mask requirement and vaccine expectation that were announced earlier in the summer—are in alignment with the new state-wide requirements.
For those who remain unvaccinated and who, as now required by the state, must participate in weekly COVID-19 testing, more information will be forthcoming from the College’s COVID-19 Testing Team.
Submit Your Proof of Vaccination
