Dear Students,
Although it isn’t quite officially spring, the beautiful weather we are experiencing has me feeling hopeful! So many of you continue to take the pandemic seriously and it shows. For that I am truly grateful. Although hope is in the air, we have to remember the pandemic is not over yet.
With the upcoming long weekend for Spring Break, as well as spring holidays such as St. Patrick’s Day and Easter just around the corner, I want to remind you to continue to be diligent in adhering to the College’s health and safety protocols. Keep wearing your mask, even if you have been vaccinated. Wash your hands regularly, maintain your physical distance from others, and refrain from large in-person gatherings. You, as a member of the North Central community, have proven these measures work! I implore you to continue to use them so we can safely complete the semester.
As you know, the College also has penalties for not complying with COVID-19 guidelines, whether on or off campus. Although the vast majority of you have, and continue, to stay in compliance, we unfortunately have had to respond to some behavior by issuing fines, instituting disciplinary probation, and removing members of the community from the residence halls and/or the campus. You can find more information about compliance and enforcement here.
I am grateful for each of you and I am confident we can continue to come together as a community and enjoy a strong finish to the academic year.
