Dear North Central College Campus Community,
Governor Pritzker announced earlier today additional COVID-19 mitigation measures for Illinois’ Region 8, which includes DuPage County. These measures are intended to address the region’s continuing rise in COVID-19 positivity rates and include additional restrictions on dining and the size of events and social gatherings. More details about the state’s Tier 2 Resurgence Mitigations, which go into effect starting Wednesday, November 11, can be found here.
You’ll recall that last week, in anticipation of the governor’s announcement, the College reduced the size of College-approved in-person events to a maximum of 10 people. In-person classes will continue to meet as scheduled in accordance with our existing health and safety protocols. Please refer to our message from last week for more details.
Finally, given this latest announcement from the Governor, it is imperative that each and every one of us continue to take seriously our responsibility to protect the health and wellbeing of our campus community, as well as the Naperville community and beyond. Please adhere to the College’s health and safety policies and guidelines, provide our contact tracers—and the DuPage County Health Department’s contact tracers—with all the information needed to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, and continue to fulfill our shared commitment to the #TogetherNC Pledge.
